My approach and clientele
I am a Clinical Social Worker with a Masters from Loyola University Chicago. I have worked in private practice and Outpatient Intensive programs for the past seven years with a focus on trauma and substance use treatment. I now focus on providing EMDR for clients with trauma in the private practice setting. I have extensive experience in trauma and relationship work.
My approach is relational, client centered, and empowering. I like to hold a conversation and get to know you first in order to build a strong foundation for our work together.
My clients are high achieving women who are finding themselves in patterns of people-pleasing and perfectionism.
They struggle with feeling lost, empty, numb, lonely, and having a loss of interests.
When they first come in, they express going through a cycle of burnout, exhaustion, depression, anxiety and negative self-thinking.
Before they came to see me, they feared to open up about their experiences. The imposter syndrome is real! They believed that they are undeserving of what they are trying to work so hard for including careers, families, self care. They worried of not knowing what to do when opening the “pandora box”. And they were pretty certain that they were going to be misunderstood. The shame was strong and persistent.
If you want to start understanding where your perfectionism and need to people-please stem from and how to change your negative beliefs to more adaptive beliefs, I’d love to help you get there.
Like my clients, you deserve to feel heard and understood with the deepest parts of your living experience.
With the help of psychodynamic and EMDR modalities, you can start feeling more empowered, confident, and grounded and rediscover your sense of worth again.
I provide regular individual talk therapy sessions and EMDR Intensives.
In the past, I have done EMDR with clients on weekly bases, one hour a week. However, I have quickly realized that clients get stuck in avoidance and ambivalence when EMDR sessions are provided in the same format as talk therapy. Instead, I now offer EMDR intensives, which are considered premium services in the therapeutic field. These sessions focus on a specific issue in a condensed amount of time. Please note, EMDR intensives are not a "fix it all" solution to the problem. After building up coping skills, desensitizing emotions around the issue, and reprocessing your beliefs, you could start to feel less anxious and more confident to make changes in your life.
EMDR Intensives packages:
3 WEEKDAY package (3 hours each session)- $1,550
5 day package (5 consecutive weekdays, 2 hrs each session)- $1,750
2 WEEKEND day package (4 hours each session)- $2,000
